I need to type these for posterity, and I thought you would all enjoy reading them. These are a few things that the boys have done that make me think "funny kid!" I've been adding to them occasionally for a while...
1/4/09 The boys and I were writing our thank you notes for our Christmas gifts we were sent. I asked Michael what he wants to say and wrote it on the note. As part of it he said "I love you very much." The boys then got into a fight about how loved the person the most. I told them it was great that each of them loved them. After Michael was done, I handed the note to Eric for him to write his thanks. When Eric was done he gave it back to me to write the rest for J, K, and I. This is what I saw: "I love you more than Michael"! ha ha ha Eric got the final say, I guess.
December, 08 Somehow the topic of death had come up with the boys and I eating dinner one night. Eric said "Mom, what's that called again when someone dies? Passed out?"
Thanksgiving, 08 We were at my family's in So Pas and the boys made a movie with Uncle Chris as the director. One of the parts involved Eric taking a stack of money from Papi. After filming, they were cleaning up and Eric takes the money over to Papi and says "um, I'm not sure if I get to keep this or not!" Nice try Eric!
11.7.08 Michael: "Where's dad?" Me (Lisa): "He's sleeping." Michael: "He already slupped!"
11.6.08 We were going to get our flu shots (the boys and I). Eric was so concerned and upset, being anxious about the pain. Michael said he was going to "be brave, like a lion!" He was! He took that shot like a little pinch in the leg, no big deal to him! Eric was panicky and cried (screamed) about it. But, Eric told me in the AM on the 7th that Hunter in his class was going to get a flu shot and he was going to give Hunter a tip on how to do it - let your leg be floppy and it won't hurt as much. I was glad to see Eric feeling like he could be "an expert" on shots, after his pain and agony about it in the first place.
First week of November, 08. Michael and Ahran Farnsworth were playing in the back yard by the stacks of wood we had delivered for the fence. I saw Michael climb up on one of the stacks of wood and tell Ahran "Come up on the stage, like on guitar hero!"
8.26.08 Eric, 2 hours after he got in bed, was still awake! I went in to tell him that he needed to go to sleep now and this is what response I get: "Mom, we're having a contest at school to see who reads the most books, and I've read..." and he counts all the books piled up on his bed "19!" 2 nights of reading in bed, and 19 1/2 books! I couldn't help but kindof laugh because there he was staying up to read for some classroom contest - despite the fact it was after 10:00!
8.28.08 For at least a week now, Michael had been wearing his halloween socks (thanks to Mom-O last year) on his hands! He is almost inseperable from those socks - when they're not on his hands, they're in his pockets or tied around his sword. Who knew some black socks with orange and white pirates would be so cool.
8.31.08 We were driving home from church, and I asked the boys what they had talked about in their classes. Eric told me "not lying" (aka being honest). Michael told me "If you don't have food you're hungry, and if you don't have pants and a shirt you're necked!" Yes, I love the way he says necked instead of naked. It turns out they talked about being grateful for food and clothes. I thought it was funny to see the boys' take on their lessons.
9.12.08 Michael-After watching and feeling Kate move in my tummy-"Mom, I like your bo-boo's"-and we know he wasn't referring to my tummy!
9.13.08 Eric spent all day "sailing" things. He used his watercolors to paint pieces of wood he found around the neighborhood, and nailed them together. He wanted to "sail" his little invention for $1 but ended up getting 7 pennies all day by "sailing" a few inventions and by letting the neighborhood children paint some wood too.
9.13.08 Michael told me if my tummy gets too big it will pop!
9.21.08 Sitting in church, Michael rubbed my tummy a few times and then kissed it. He looked up with a smile on his face and told me "I kissed Kate!" Then, he told me "I like dad more than you!"
9.27.08 "I see Chuck-E-Cheese-Its!" - Michael
She has been smiling, and this is my best picture of it. She is in an outfit that says "If they could just stay little" which was very fitting for her 2 months picture. She is getting so big, and this was the last time she fit into that outfit. My little baby is growing up!
She wore this little mummy outfit as we went out into the cold.

Eric was kissing her on the head inbetween pictures. I never got a really good picture of him kissing her. But, he was totally loving on her, it was really sweet. Here he is, smiling for the camera.
